Would You?

I'm standing here all on my own,

Would someone like to take me home.

Would someone hold my hand real tight,

And tuck me in my bed each night.

Would someone tell me that they care,

And let me know they're always there.

Would someone call me by my name,

Or take me to a baseball game.

Would someone call me on the street,

"It's dinner time son, come and eat."

Would someone tell me that I'm good,

And tell me that I'm understood.

Would someone buy me stuff to wear.

So other kids don't stop and stare.

Would someone like a boy who's strong,

Who won't get mad when things go wrong.

Would someone whisper in my ear,

"I love you son, I'm always here."
